Just got these fitted up yesterday evening hadn't gotten the chance to give the car a quick jet wash and take any decent photo's so just thought I'd stick up a few shots I got this morning.

They're Ultralite G-Grid 8x18" wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1-R's







I had given the car a quick going over with the jet wash by this time though

 

They look good

 

look very similar to OZ Ultraleggera's. personally i'm not a fan of black wheels on WB, but i'm sure you got them for function over form.

 

Sorry don't like the black.

They look good... I guess I would have gone with a wider rim, lower offset though

Body kits make a big difference like below.
i agree that "all black" wheels dont look good on a WB the only Wb i seen that looks good with "all black" was this one at SEVENSTOCK, but good luck and make sure u drop it. These are ADVANS RS i believe...

I originally wanted Ultraleggeras, and still do deep down, but they were almost double the price of what I got these for and that would've been with some cheap budget tyres, which I was trying to move away from as I already had them on my stock wheels.

I wasn't sure about black either, I wanted white or gunmetal. I couldn't help but think they would appear very small and get lost in the arches. Ultimately the decision was made because the store I got them from was doing a deal on one set only and had knocked £300 (about $450 or 30%) off the original price. I got the guy to put them up against the car before I said yes and they looked to be worth a try so I went with it and I was even more impressed with how they looked when they were fitted so I'm happy. When I bought them i also had, in the back of my mind, the idea that if I didn't fall in love with the look I could always get them powder coated a better colour after the winter and it still would've cost me less overall than the Ultraleggeras!

I did spray on some tyre shine when I got home last night, it was too dark to get any pics, but you could see straight away it looked better.

I'm probably not going to go down the route of a bodykit. There are some nice ones out there which I like but I just don't have a problem with the look as is. I think, particularly in the pics above, the bodykits make the dark wheels look even smaller. As it is, on the black wheels, I think the RX looks low, long and lithe. Sort of like a baby SLR! lol

I am intending to lower it. Been looking at various options from companies so just waiting to make a decision

Also going to paint the calipers, other people suggested red but I'd not thought of black before but I think it might look very nice. It's starting to get wet/cold here though so might have to pick my day carefully when I do go for it. Damn english weather and no garage!!

I didn't want wider wheels, its not a car for show and our roads aren't particularly well surfaced so didn't want to have to deal with the annoyances that would've come with wider wheels. They're already ET30 and and any lower would've probably had them sticking out from the side of the car.

 

at least get the factory front lip, i think i may have one for sell, its been sitting in the body shop since my last accident in 05

 

what? your just sittin on a front lip? lemme get that off your hands man....name your price and if its already winning blue even better

edit: yah man and now that i got my veilside rear lip i have spare WB aero flares which are already dibbed on, and my side aero flares are also dibbed by the same person, however i told him to give me like 1 month, so i can get my side skirts and im going to have all these parts repainted? u get me>? the lip is the only part unpainted but ill let u know whats sup on monday, ill give a good price also, and thats painted. so keep in touch with me.

 

i think they look great, I've always been a fan of the very similar OZs (my RX-8 in GT4 has them!) black wheels rock!

I think the wheels look pretty darn good.... get a nice drop and a mild kit and it will look damn sexy
