This was originally a video of my 2004 Mazda Rx-8 having trouble idling. Prior to this video it had died several times at idle and was hesitating severely around 6k rpm. I also had several check engine codes. It turned out that the Mobil station in Rolla, MO had accidentally put diesel fuel in their premium tanks, and I had received about seven gallons of the low octane stuff. I fixed the problem by filling up with premium fuel from a different station and driving a lot. After about two tanks the car was back to normal. Mobil did eventually compensate me for my trouble.

Even though this was a big fiasco, it was cool to find out that the RENESIS Wankel can actually run (albeit poorly) on diesel!
