Weekend Romp!!
Just got back from a BMW school up at Mosport (near Toronto) and had a great time there. This was the first time I had this car out on the track and it did not dissappoint. It got a lot of attention both parked and running on the track. I love my RX8. Apparently a lot of others do too!!

The reason I'm asking is because you are driving you're own car. I'm thinking of starting the 1st stage this year if funds are available.
Which track were you on? Looks like you were on the Big Track from the pics..

what kind of suspension you running ? Looks pretty low in those pics. Maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me , or not use to seeing the appearance package 8/

:D WOW!! Thanks for the kind words!
I am going to try to answer everyone's questions.
I do do some mild suspension upgrades and some brake pad ones also. I had installed the MS strut tower bars (F & R) as well as the sway bars. I also have the Eibach springs. They are OK for the street, especially Michigan, but are very soft for the track. The car looks a lot lower because it is a very fast corner and the car outside tires are very loaded at this point of the track. I felt like I was sitting on top of a beach ball, bouncing and rolling. I got from our friends at Mazdatrix Hawk pads (even thought the box said something different) and changed the fluid to Super Blue DOT 4 to make sure I did not run out of brakes.
As far as where I was looking, I was looking at the next apex. I am not sure where my instructor was looking...maybe seeing where my eyes were focused to check that I am looking far enough ahead.
The wing is the MS wing left a the most neutral angle....it is probably the picture angle that makes it look different.
The first pic is coming down turn 1 (Mosport). The second pic is probably Turn 3 (not sure). It is one of the most fun tracks I have been (more elevation than watkins Glen and even Road America), but if you get in trouble, it will cost you...a lot of walls.
Here's another pic. The camera is not tilted in this pic. Turn 2 down the hill is that steep.

Rx Jet, have you been cruising the strees of AA? I work on Main St and have been seeing a sunlight sliver, couldn't tell if it had the MS wing or not? Would love to take a closer look at your 8.
Cheers

I don't think it is me. I haven't seen any other 8's with the MS wing whenever I've been around. I'm probably too far out in the woods to see the actual representation.
You can usually find me cruising M-14 and I-275....long work commute made enjoayble in the RX-8.
No problem to see the car. I'm extremely happy with it.

That was our point as well. I still do not understand why they do it. If they want to keep our arms in, if we hit anything, the glass is not in pieces and our arms are still out the window (with pieces of glass stuck in it)....
I totally agree, but it seems to be that particular chapter that runs that way.
