did you buy it or lease it?

looks cool.

the ONLY 09 that I like is the R3. i think the other 09s look lame. the local dealer has a new 09 spot and GT. i didin't even bother test driving them as they look stupid to me.

they did have a couple GT models of the original body style that have the OEM appearance pakcage on it - and those look slick. a black 08 and a while 06 - both with the appearance kit and spoiler. that is a nice setup...but NOT as nice as the R3.

my big curiosity is HOW well does an R3 handle?!?! it is supposed to have a better suspension setup - but how good? better than a 40th anniv edition or shinka? stiffer?

would a new R3 outhandle an 08 with konis/springs?

i guess i'm wondering how good the 09 R3 really is. bang for the buck - you can pickup a low mileage used 06 or 07 for $20k. then you buy shocks/springs/sways/strut bars and better tires - that stuff would cost maybe $3000 parts and labor. so 23k is your investment.

that car might run circles around an R3??? or is the R3 THAT GOOD in the hanlding dept that it is almost like an oldermodel with all the MS stuff on it?

i recall an online article where the magazine editors had an rx8 decked out with all the mazdaspeed stuff and they commented that it was one of the best handling cars they had ever drfiven - doin the slalom faster than a 911 carrera S...... pretty impressive...

That's the first R3 I've ever seen detailed pictures of. Everything but the front looks unbelievable. Are the seats comfortable? They look insanely supportive.

P.S., those are by far the most wild wheels Mazda has ever produced for a production car. You should get A/M wheels and sell those to me.
I LOVE the LED's. The seats are amazingly comfortable with awesome support. I'm really tiny being a girl and all and the seats just hug me. Everyone who has sat in the car and/or had the privilege of driving it can't say enough about the seats. Yea the Wheels are clean. I love the color, the whole car is so bad ***.

Otherwise, very nice car!!! Congrats and welcome.
The wheel is curbed! It's parked on a hill. It's straight when the wheels are straight. :P

Yea sorry! I had dibs on it before it came in, I think the Mazda Sales Manager ordered it after he received my request for one, or I just had amazing timing. It showed up on the inventory list a few days later after I talked to him about pricing on one. He called me right away. Good guy, talk to Boris.

It came in on Monday, I finalized everything and took it home on Friday. Euphoric. I think they have another 09 RX-8 in there warehouse.

I checked out both options, my original plan was to finance but leasing was a much better deal, they gave it to me for the price they offered me and I leased it for the $1750 extra cash down. They said I could do anything I wanted to it as long as I return it to stock if I trade it in at the end of my lease. I will more then likely be keeping the car. :P

So far it handles really well. Quick, responsive, and really smooth. After I drive it around a little more I'll give you more insight to how the car feels.

I've been into RX-7's for so long and I love Mazda and the rotary. My daily routine for awhile was work then work on the Ex's SA. So naturally the RX-8 caught my eye right away. I've been looking at a bunch of RX-8's including the Shinka since the release but the timing was never right. I actually almost bought a brand new Shinka not to long ago. I think they wanted like $28k for it, but again the timing just wasn't there. The patience paid off I love my R3.

Now if only I could get my hands on that Furai. :P

So I guess Mazda probably won't agree to replace it with the older styled steering wheel, huh?

You can ask? I like the hands free Bluetooth. Comes in handy, there being crazy about the cell phone law here. I don't really care to much for headsets, I'd rather be listening to the car and not having to worry about even finding my phone is nice.

I don't think you can get the Navi on the R3. It's not listed as a available option for the R3. Yea I really wanted the touch screen Navi too, maybe I can add one later. :o

That's OK, I was only joking around ... I did realize, of course, that the steering wheel wasn't really installed upside down--mine turns like that too, very useful when steering. Much better than getting out and picking up and moving the rear end around.

The car's designed as more of a performance version, lighter weight, less luxurious, although some have said it has a slightly slower 0-60.
