Vivid RX8 pics at the track
Here's a few pics from one of our events at one of our local tracks. The photographer's name is William Westfall and he takes some real good shots, a real pro. Check these out. Here's me at the staging grid. Preping for launch.

This last one is my favorite. It shows the Vette closing in on me. I could keep him at bay through the turns but in the straights he crushes me. We had about a 3 lap battle before he just put to much distance between me and him in the long straight and I couldn't catch him. Oh well, we'll see what happens when I get the supercharger on there.

This pic of the BMW gives you an idea of how much speed is carried through this corner and what a difference the coilovers, sway bars, and strut bars make.

Excellent. I am really liking how the autoexe kit looks on the car. I also am envious of how much faster you are probably taking the corners over my stock setup right now. That will be addressed before my next day out.
We need to arrange a track day meet for the west coast. If people think they like their RX8 now they would love it a lot more on the track.

I believe that all sports car enthusiests should take thier car out to a local track and have some real, safe fun! And by the power invested upon me as the Lord of my own world, I here by declare that it be made marshal law that all RX8 owners take thier car out to a tack and learn its abilities and limits, as well as thier own. So it shall be written, so shall it be done.
[stepping off soap box]
Really this is one of the best ways to enjoy your car's full potential, in a safe, controlled environment. I know I can't enforce this law upon the entire forum but you better believe that for all the locals it's considered manditory or you will have to deal with me.

BTW great pix. I love the AutoEXE kit. Makes the front end look like a Carrera GT

Keep in mind that these are not wheel-to-wheel races, but more like practice sessions that cater to a wide range of abilities, from 1st-timers to seasoned drivers; they even encourage ride-alongs with instructors to help point out your lines, if necessary. Not only will you have fun pushing your car to the limits, but you'll also increase your confidence in your car and your abilities to control the car... I'm sure Huff can contend to that! Coming from an AWD to RWD, I desperately need to go once I get back from overseas!
Great pics and beautiful '8!

shawrf1, yep those are great events and on hand instructors are usually worth thier wieght in gold when it comes to offering suggestions and advise. I too went from AWD back to RWD, WRX to RX8. I figure as long as my next car has the letters R and X in it I'll be right on track. I'm thinking RX7 but we'll wait and see.

Well, right now it doesn't look good for me coming out to the Rocky Mountain get together. It looks like I may have to take care of some family bussiness. We'll see but I can't make any promises.
