Ah, yes, emissions. I wonder what shops around here could pull of that swap. I heard it's like $11k right?

It depends on what you want done and what you can do by yourself, a good shape 20b goes for +/- 3,500, if you stay NA you can get it up to 300 rwhp and keep cost down, if you go turbo you can get as much HP as you can pay for

if some1 uses a 3 rotor 20b in a race car, why dont they make a 3 rotor renesis for the race car, as basically the renesis is a more powerful design?

Stupid question maybe as 20b is a ready made motor and a 3 rotor renesis would have to be custom made, but still.......

the 3-rotor used in the race car has peripheral port intake and exhaust, this configuration allows for the most flow.

in japan it was used in the late model Eunos Cosmo-

hence why they were built in the first place.

Hey guys, I watched the race again, theres another clip about 3min long on the RX-8 chasing the Porsche from the car cam onboard the RX-8, you can hear the nice scream of the rotary engine, with good comments from the announcers. I'll upload it tonight once I finish some work at hand, if not it'll be up tomorrow for sure.

Wow, 7k for the engine, does the rx8 tranny mate up and can it handle the power? Are the changes to the electronics (engine harness) extensive? So the newest 20B is from 1996?

it is not an easy swap, you have to do a custom harness, the trans bolts up but it cant handle the power, it is better to use a 2nd gen turboII trans

7,000 is a lot you can get it cheaper

I dont know that I would use them as PJ's but that would be funny. You should seal them up in the pant leg and make booties...Now that would be funny!

thats not such a bad idea, speedsource should sell t-shirts and caps, and all that type of things, it would make some $$ for the cause
