Oh crap!! ....you've got me all excited now...well actually the strakes. My red strakes are on order as we speak. I was dying to see a picture of them on a car. I'm sooo glad I ordered the red instead of the standard look.

It blows me away how such a little detail like the strakes does so much for the car..I think they help bring out the crease that runs along the door at the door handle height.

 

Yeah looks HOT!!! I would like to see what the titanium ones look like on the car. Then I might get those over regular dealer ones.

 

Colored red strakes don't look too bad, nice unique accent to show of the the car.

 

I like red cars, but a little bit too much red on this one for me.

I bought them from a member on this site that makes them....PM the member D Menac 7 to get more details. They were half the price of Mazda's OEM strakes...and you can't tell the difference between them (except for the fact that mine are red and Mazda's are silver).

 

Pardon my expression, but I don't get the whole stakes thing altogether....costs a bomb, no functional improvement whatsoever, purely cosmetic...wouldn't you rather have a nice set of Volks or Mille Miglia's to replace the stock rims? Sure the rims cost more, but on your nice red 8 they would make much more of an impact in terms of style...well, IMO.

Thetitanium8 - I just installed gunmetal mica on my Ti yesterday that you can check out in that same forum if you're interested.

 

Hmm, not sure how you can compare strakes to rims. Sure I would love to have some Volks, but that cost $1000+, whereas strakes cost $80. But then, that's MY opinion. You're welcome to give me the money for new rims though.

Also, to answer phrozenhandlez's question, I used the G2 caliper paint.

 

Funny. I really didn't like the strakes at all until I saw your color keyed ones. Look nice.

Irish8 correct me if I am wrong but you are getting black strakes. If you can when you recieve them and get them installed post some pics in order to see how they look blk/blk. If they look good blk/blk I will be ordering also. Either way thanks.

Nope, Irish8 is getting his in aluminum. I am hoping to finish them by mid week. They are in the process of getting their aluminum finish tomorrow night.
