Howdy

About the hood, we have a Seibon vented carbon hood that will be on there and modified if need be. Today we gave her the first crank. Short but sweet.

A normal large build on say a EVO or Porsche is usually 1 month total. Difference is, your not stuffing a Linebacker in a TooToo

the bell housing is 100% custom made. engine is mated to a t56 transmission using a t56 transmission starter. its a pretty custom affair on nearly everything in the engine bay..lots of wire re-routing and tucking, 100% new custom made hoses, 99% of them are AN type hoses including vacuum lines

care to show some pics??
Sucks that they spent so much time and money doing that way, when you could of simply done a AT bell housing, at starter, and a adapting plate for the t56.

This project commenced over 3 years ago. The simple fact is that this is not a normal setup and so many parts had to be custom made and built. But it is finally all together and ready for the finish. The car is headed over to the guys at Rotary Inspired Performance where they will wrap up the finishing touches to the wiring and tune the Haltec ECU. Specializing in Rotary engine swaps and builds, RIP has completed several 20B upgrades to both the RX7 and RX8 platform. Understanding all the intricacies that are required, we have chosen them to finish up the tuning parts.

Overall, the car is well equipped and looks fantastic. Nothing was spared in this build and as much as you, we look forward to seeing the results of the tune and hearing this baby run. From the custom Knight Sports Rotary titanium tips, to the HRE wheels, big brake kit, INGs body kit, JIC Suspension, GT42R turbo, polished engine parts, custom bell housing, drive shaft, and transmission, this Mazda RX8 will be truly one of a kind when running the streets of Dubai. Enjoy the pics and once we have final numbers and video, we will share those on our site as well. You can view the full Mazda RX8 20B Build Gallery here.

Nice build. I am surprised to hear that RIP it is finishing it. That is a good thing though, he is a nice guy, glad to see him getting some support.

Nice packaging.

curious, are you going to be enclosing the radiator/condenser/ic ? i am wondering what the flow path looks like if it is left like that.
