The spring rate on the Tein S' are almost the exact same as stock. So the ride is almost the same. You just gotta be careful of parking curbs. I still have no problem on speedbumps or steep driveways.
So have you actually accidentally rammed into a parking curb? Just wondering, because I can already picture me doing that, and the thought that comes to my mind is, "OH CRAP!!!!" and I will probably want to swear.
yea same ride.. well even if u scrape on steep driveways and what not.. If u dont have the apperance package its just scrapping the bottom black part so its really not that bad.. if u have a body kit i would really watch out..
hey... do you mind me asking... but how high is your front bumper from the ground? i just got mine installed... and i'm not sure if i have to do the whole pre-load thing or not at the moment. (my car doesn't clear curbs anymore =P)
got teins?
if you decide to do exterior mods (front bumper) DO NOT attempt to drive up driveways. unless the driveway is at least 2 cars wide then you can go at an angle. (at your own risk) the same with speed bumps.
Was thinking the exact same thing.
More pics with my Teins after they settled.

but I am sure not all exterior mods (front bumper) will have this issue, right? I mean, the RE Amemiya front bumper does not look like it will have that much of an issue. Well, actually it just appears that it will have the same clearance as the MS front bumper.
it all depends... on which bumper and the dip off the driveway.
however, the majority of speed bumps are no problem. i'm at 3 inch clearance and all i have to do is stop and go over it very slowly. most speed bumps are about 2 inches high.
the main problem driving a lowered car is... dips. dips in the road and dips between road and driveway.
