Teaser pics (well sorta anyway, 56k warning)
A few things, car's not as clean as it could be, and I have some plans for changing up the innards so only outside shots for now. It's taken 2 years to get the paint correct, (started with hail damage, got into a mess, lonnnng story and I'll spare the details) and man did they do an amazing job making things right. Hat's off to Roger Beasley Collision Center for contacting me through the forum (the owner no less) and working extra hard to ensure I would not be disappointed this time around.
These are just shots to show the new paint, once we get the interior sorted out I'll ***** up some nicer pics at a more scenic spot with better lighting etc etc. I kinda' purposely took these in the shade so I could get an idea of the paintwork without interference from the sun.
New grill material, www.customcargrills.com is where to go for replacement mesh, very high quality, and powdercoated to boot, sorry it's kinda' hard to see
Sideshot, amazing thing is my wheels haven't been polished in a while
Just a weird shot for me to geek on the paint lol
My new wallpaper
nice reflections

the gap looks exagerrated in the pics, it's less than a 1/4 of an inch, I could dig up some pics of replicas and you'll see a definitive difference I can promise. All my parts are 100% authentic, I DESPISE replica kits, the idea that someone is making a quick buck, ripping people off with lower quality kits, stealing someone else's idea etc etc drives me nuts. Some of these scumbags even use "real" kit pictures in their ads to show off the fitment, only to send you a piece of ill-fitting uberjunk. I never did the Ms rear for 3 reasons 1) too much $ for something that's not even a real bumper 2) There are other "real" bumpers as opposed to just cut-outs that I like better 3) I like the factory rear bumper anyway, goes well with my attempted "clean look"

I believe there are many high quality "replica" making companies out there. For instance you can purchase AutoEXE products in Japan, or a company in the USA called DGMotorsports makes the exact same product for half the price. In fact, many have experience better fitment with their products as opposed to the "real" thing. So it depends really. This is from both personal experience with my Protege5 and many years of forum reading.

damn Canary, your car looks AWESOME!! Big ups to the owner of the company contacting you and making everything 'right'.
Oh, and as for replicas...just take a look at the last page of the Autobahn thread and you'll once again realize why some of us still prefer the real thing.
