Super Autobacs in Japan and other various JDM pics
In this view the rear looks way to stubby/tall/blunt, like a modern subcompact sedan (or neon). The rear spoiler combined with the abruptly sloping under pan between the exhaust tips and squared-off bumper fascia draws the entire rear upward which doesn't seem to fit the overall swoopiness the RX-8 originally had. It seems the under pan should be black (like on the original) to make the *** look leaner. As far as the tailights, too much white/silver inside the rings of led's. I would want them solid red at least which I think would make them look less cheap.

I think the standard (or non-R3) car front end looks much better cause it lacks the chrome strips and lights just above them which looks too busy. Are those lights fogs or what? I would want some traditional small round fogs either in front of the oil coolers like they are on the current car or maybe in the center grill section. And what's with the flying M being mounted on a recessed flat spot? Is this so no one debadges the car? lol
Still haven't seen the car in person, though so I reserve full judgment until then.

It looks like it would mount at the same points and I agree, the flatter looks better than the curved one.

No problem.. I'm usually very familiar with all the Japanese companies that sell parts for the RX-8. I'm on the fence about it, it looks okay at some angles.. But then at different angles it looks weird, doesn't flow very well as you mentioned the way it wraps around..
Thanks for the info. I'm agreeing that it looks good at certain angles but I'm not completely sold.
