What hood are you looking at?

 

this is like cowl (sp?) induction hoods where air gets sucked in to the engine bay from that opening i believe. so its letting outside air in.

if you think about it there is no reason for air to be compressed inside the engine bay so as outside air is coming in it is pushing your hot engine bay air out

 

I need the vented hood, not only to vent hot air out - but also create a pathway of air flow right through my intake. I dont think this hood is gonna do that for me.

So im sticking to plan A
