Sunlight Silver with Racing Stripes

Found this 8 at a local Mazda dealership. Not really digging the stripes on the silver though.

Looks like it was run over by a Mini that had locked up its brakes.

I'm actually a fan of racing stripes, (being old enough to remember British sports cars in the '60's), but one stripe is enough and in most cases, the stripe should be white, not black. Furthermore, the stripe should be offset, not in the center of the hood.

Other "rules" about this sort of thing are available upon request.

The 8's not a stripe car. Looks wierd. Even the Miata's cool with an offset stripe, but not our car.
BTW, nice rules JSH.

I am a big fan of rally stripes, it just doesn't fit this car though.

I really didn't want to open this thread, but my morbid curiosity compelled me. Whoever gave the "go-ahead" on striping the silver one should be dragged out to the street and shot. The yellow one is not quite as bad, but I generally think aesthetic enhancements for vehicles should actually make them look better.
I guess the moral of the story is to not put a guy in charge of accessories when he wouldn't know style if he was vomiting it across a room through his nostrils. Great pic.
