I don't think they did, the rim on the Stormy blue of the picture you took is 16", so the car is an Automatic (base I think).

Shoot, this makes me want to save up and get myself an 07 instead of saving money and getting an 05 or 06

Yeah, that's what I've been saying for months! Everyone says it looks too dark when it's not in direct sunlight and that they need to get better pics. News flash everyone -- it gets cloudy sometimes in real life. This color only looks hot in perfect lighting conditions like showroom floors. I can't believe they're removing Winning Blue for this crap.

+1. The winning blue was a very nice color. I'd have to see the stormy mica in person to get a good feel for it. I do wish they made the WB a little darker...this one might be too dark.

I agree completely there. Winning Blue looked much nicer, and I'm not just saying that because mine is. I like colors when they still look "colored" when it gets dim and cloudy out, not blacked out and dull.

Winning blue rules all. It doesnt bother me that this new blue is replacing it, I actually prefer it that way. I will hopefully see less and less of my own color on the streets.

The new blue doesnt look that bad at all. I mean i have my mazda 3 in the winning blue but i think it looks more like a girly color compared to stormy blue mica.

I agree, that's why i love the yellow clean and wax, it looks like a bright yellow, dirty it looks like a darker yellow, but it still appears to be very clean looking still

Winning blue looked a little to bright for me. Sonic blue metallic that Ford used on the 99-04 Mustang (really only the 04s got it) would be an awesome blue. It looks purple in shadowed areas, but blue in lit areas, at night it just looks dark blue.

only problem with montego is that everyone thought it was green and if it isn't clean, it practically is. Green doesn't strike me as a good Rx-8 color..... nor an Rx-7 color (even though it was one)

Thumbs down Stormy Blue

I saw a Stormy Blue Mica '07 in person at the John Hine dealer in San Diego. I had been waiting for a dark blue to finally make it to the states, but man would I have been disappointed if I got this color. Even in direct sunlight, the stormy blue looked like a purple/black with a hint of blue. I am so happy that I got the phantom blue, it's a much sexier looking color.

+100 for that...

I actually get quite ticked when I see another winning blue... (I've only seen 2 or 3 other than mine...)

I love tan leather. I would have gotten a Phantom blue with Tan if I felt like waiting on an 07. But a CR Shinka is nice and they had incentives so....

Stormy blue looks nice as well. Like the Nordic Green or Black Cherry it will probably only really look great in direct sunlight and in person.

I see multiple 8's in the burgh everyday. Ever since i got rid of mine it seems like they are popping up eveywhere. I saw an incredible Ti Gray 8 in oakland on sat night, body kit exhaust...screamin down 5th and then cut up by Clapp Hall. I've only seen 2 other speed6's around though...but this is getting off topic. Anyone have any real pics of the stormy blue yet?? I doubt they will be in the burgh soon

I really like the yellow, too. If they still made yellow when I got mine, my mom would have been pushing me hard to get the yellow. LOL It was right up there in my choices. Blue was first, nearly tied with yellow as a very close second. I might have ended up getting yellow depending on my mood when I ordered. My next choice would have been the gray. I like the red a lot but it's too stereotypical with "red sports car" that I wouldn't get one, that and the fact that my mom loves red cars. When I went to look in person (late spring 05) to see if I really liked the car a few months before I finalized my order, the dealership had one of every color sitting there next to each other. The blue one just caught my eye and jumped out at me, confirming that was definitely the one I wanted.

I'm definitely disappointed that they discontinued winning blue.
