Stock rims and $550 later
Intead of buying after market rims, I decided to get my rims chrome plated. Here are the results. I'm very, very happy. My own holidays present.

Where'd you get them plated?--I am thinking about going this route too--how long did it take? Also--what type of tire dressing are you using? I've been searching for one that I really like.

that looks pretty good. I'm sure all those Honda Civic boys will be going crazy over them and saying "Dude, where'd you get that man? I need them ... I'll buy it off you"

I got 1 year warranty on the chrome plating. This company has stock rims already chrome plated so when you order, they send you their wheels first. Once you get their wheels, you have 2 weeks to send them yours. They charged me $550 for the rims, $178 for shipping(both ways) and a $800 deposit. I already got my $800 back. The good thing about doing this is: one- you can still drive your car around while you wait for your rims. The day the rims arrived, I had them mounted, put on my car and stock rims on their way back within 2 hours. Two- you save big time money since you are using your same tires. This rims are also triple platted so they can last a long time if you take care of them. By the way, from what I now understand, ALL Chrome rims are chrome plated anyway. This is the company: OEMRIMS INC.

The bright chrome does look nice on the black, and you saved a few bucks. I did the dark chrome Mazda wheels and I like the more subtle look on my red.
I got mine with the rebate, and if I ever do sell the factory rims, I will have only about $600 in them. Anyone want a set of stock rims?

If anyone that has these chromed stock wheels on a titanium grey 8 out there would you please post a picture of your car. I was thinking about having this done, but would like to see a sample picture first.
Thanks

This is the only clean shot I got right now. I get compliments all the time. I think the chrome is good on the darker colors IMO. The reds, yellow's no way--

Wow! I'm not a chrome lover, but the car looks great. The clears and tint really make the whole package. Gorgeous.
