So my GF and I took a ride to McDonalds to get something to eat, and I'm looking for a parking spot, and I look straight ahead and there is a red RX-8 all by itself in the parking lot. So I decided to park right next to it since there were about 6-7 empty spaces around it and it was looking lonely. I never was able to find the owner of the car, but I was able to take some pictures of our cars as I was leaving. Enjoy!

i love when i run into fellow 8 owners... sadly i met an ******* owner the other day. he stared mine down in a parking lot and i said "like it? 8's rock dont they?" he replied " just because i have the same car as you doesnt mean im going to talk to you and got back into his car and left just to move two parking spaces down

 

So is mine. With the luck that seems to be bestowed upon silver 8's I need to be careful. A meteor could fall from the heaven's and it would land on my car...

Yeh, it was ironic because I saw another red 8 today coming home and I flashed him as he was coming towards me to make a turn and he waved at me. Recently I've been seeing RX-8's a lot more now.

 

yeh. i remember when i used to feel really special i was like the only one anywhere near my area who had one. when i think about it im sure as hell glad rx-8s are not as popular as the over-rated mustangs and eclipse. lol i think people have been watching the fast and the furious too much

 

funny cause when i was at fry's electronics i parked really far all by myself...when i came back there was a silver one parked next to mine....haha

i never get any responses here in sj. I've seen some ladies with 8's (definetly no luck with them). I flash a few 8's and no response. rx7 owners on the other hand never fail to give a wave or a thumbs up.

 

What an ***! Hope he flooded his engine from moving his car cuz of that!

I have yet to meet another 8 owner going the same direction (always the opposite hence no eye contact). I've seen other 8's in the parking lots and left notes but nobody I met joined the forum (that I know of anyways).

I do the "Pez" or the "subtle finger-point" (hand on steering wheel - point index finger upwards toward the other car). The few 8's I have seen here nearly always give some kind of recognition; wave, light flash, etc.

I do the same with the other Jeep Wrangler drivers - and, as the 8 owners, almost always get a response back.

My wife says...."So, it's a Jeep AND AN 8 thing"

 

there are definately ******** out there...they deserve to be beat with a stick!
