Showing off my Sunlight Silver
Here's some of the first pics I've been able to get of my 8 after being cleaned and waxed - a few minor appearance mods are visible. Check out the side vents, front grill, and chrome rims/handles, also the mirror colors are iridescent gray instead of silver now. I think it makes them look more subtle.

Hehe, I touched up the background a bit in photoshop on that last one - wanted to give the pic a grungy/semi black and white look, so I tinted it slightly to a desaturated blue. I like the contrast between the dirty ancient looking buildings and the clean 8.

nah - I'm gonna redo all that when I do a custom paint job on the front end, so I didn't see the need to take the time. Plus, I didn't want it to be glossy, just high contrast with the black.

Regular film and pictures can be made very scary by the addition of a blue or green tinge. I bet half the horror movies wouldn't be scary at all if they weren't treated that way.

Speaking of silver curse: I hit a deer last fall in a Silver mazda Protege - it seems even the deer can't see that color.
Anyways, I've always believed that curses don't fall on the same person twice. Plus, this car has already lived through one: its a recovered theft. I'm sure the previous owner felt the pains of the silver curse in the month between when his car was stolen and the insurance company paid him 3/4 of what it was worth.

to be honest, I don't personally care for it but if you like it, then more power to you!
Did you do the job yourself? Any special meaning to the tribal style paint job?

Yes, I did it myself.
The designs have no particular meaning themselves.
I guess as long as I like them its all good :-)
Everyone who's see the car in person since the paintjob so far like it.
