What is Shinka??

 

Shinka is the special edition RX8 - it means evolution in Japanese.....just picked one up myself on the 10th of March....Ive got the fever!!!!

Shinka123: My dealer ordered it from the factory in Japan. It has to come from them to have the paint match exactly. That's why it takes 6 weeks.
Your dealer should be able to take care of you. If not let me know and I'll put you in touch with mine.

Very nice, Rick, although--and I can't believe I'm saying this because I've always been against paying $60 for em--that's one definite color that could stand to benefit from clear corners.

I haven't seen any Shinkas around here, so it's cool to see them, at least, in these pics.

 

what is different with the cup holder?

 

the sliding lid is much different, visually

I also want to see if they have improved the design of the lid and how it slides. I'm on my 3rd one and MAZDA knows they have issues with them. They are actually extending factory warranties on them for another 50,000 miles/4 years...

 

I like the piano black steering wheel controls too.
