Shinka-Rick's first pics

Here's my new Shinka.
After 2 weeks, it still is a thrill to drive!!

My spoiler won't be in for 4 more weeks.

That b pillar is kinda neat too. Too bad the regular RX-8s don't come with the RX-8 B Pillar as part of the deal.

just picked one up myself on the 10th of this month.....where are you getting the spoiler? and who is doing the paint? my dealer tells me they arent available in the black cherry...

Thanks for the compliments guys...
Sliding cup holder pic coming in a day or so.

Shinka123: My dealer ordered it from the factory in Japan. It has to come from them to have the paint match exactly. That's why it takes 6 weeks.
Your dealer should be able to take care of you. If not let me know and I'll put you in touch with mine.

Very nice, Rick, although--and I can't believe I'm saying this because I've always been against paying $60 for em--that's one definite color that could stand to benefit from clear corners.

I haven't seen any Shinkas around here, so it's cool to see them, at least, in these pics.

the sliding lid is much different, visually

I also want to see if they have improved the design of the lid and how it slides. I'm on my 3rd one and MAZDA knows they have issues with them. They are actually extending factory warranties on them for another 50,000 miles/4 years...
