She diiiirty...but looking so nice....

I just installed my Tein S-Techs and put my summer wheels back on last Saturday. It's been cold and rainy again this week, so I haven't washed the car yet, but I wanted to post a few pics anyway. Enjoy.....

Don't want to thread jack, so I will keep the pic small unless you click on it. It's all personal opinion, I just like the clears.....even on Ti-gray.

I'm from Elkhart, but currently reside temporarly in Iowa while my wife finishes school. We'll be back in IN permanently around October.

I typically am all for the clears, but for some reason I like the ambers on my car. Not sure why....

On a side note, has anyone with the appearance package sides had an issue with the paint chipping off of the very front where the trim meets the body? This is my second set and the first ones had to be replaced for the exact same reason. It's even got me considering the front splash guards to just protect the paint.......quite irritating....

The drop and the wheels look great! I have Teins also (and clears FTW). Watch those parking blocks, your air dam won't clear them now!

My side aero flares are chipping (I'm on my second pair also). I'm curious, what color are you seeing under the Ti paint (it looks like yellow from your pics)? And, where did you get them? Ebay or dealership?

There's a eBay seller that has been accused of repainting yellow parts because of this, yet he claims he bought the parts as-is from a going-out-of-business Mazda dealership. Then a few other forum members said they were having the same issue with flares from the dealership.

I'm about to give up and get some full side skirts.

I got all of the appearance package parts from an ebay seller. I've had no problems with the front aero or the rear splash guards but these damn sides keep having problems in the exact same location. The parts are yellow under the paint.....

Yeah, I got a Ti Gray front air dam from him also and it's legit, no chipping, no yellow. Just the side aero flares that I'm having a problem with. The second set I had some 3M clear bra put on the leading edge, but there's about an 1/8" gap at the edge and it's completely yellow

My aero flares are original stock, and the WWP is chipping away and showing yellow. I have also heard of BB's chipping to reveal gray, and LY chipping to white. I think there is a variety of possible base colors on the plastic (possibly always something opposed to the destined finished color) and that they are inherently weak from the manufacturer.

Yeah, it's chipping off a little on mine... I'm just gonna wait on it until I get full sides anyway though.

my aero sides always chipped on the front too; i think it's pretty normal. once you get front splash guards or full skirts it shouldn't happen anymore.. mine was white underneath my ss though i think.
