first of all,
ANYONE WHO THINKS A STOCK RX8 WILL BE ABLE TO BEAT ANY STOCK 350Z WILL HAVE TO BOW THEIR HEAD IN SHAME. this is why:
1. power
2. track trim or gran turing (my brother has a track, this is how i know) is much faster than base.
3. brembo's on above are extremly fantastic.
4. ray's rims on above are fantastic
5. tuned suspention and exhaust.
and did i mention torque?
they are quicker, but dont have a personality like the rx8 (high rev, low torque, balanced, comfertable but yet mm.mmm. good on turns). also, they are much less civilized and not that great to daily drive.

Brembo's... so what if it has brembo's. doesnt mean its the best and can stop better than the rx8. its just a brand of brakes...
rays rims... ok wtf are you talking about?! thats not even in the subject of 350z vs rx8 in terms of performance.
tuned suspension and exhaust... the rx8 has a tuned suspension and exhaust... the rest i can agree with you a bit.
Don't own an Rx-8.

Yeah the track package 350z is like equaling the Mazdaspeed 8(sport with all Mazdaspeed performance accessories other than the $4,000 Magnesium wheels).
If you go up in price of one go up with the other too. You can compare base to base but when you upgrade the z, you upgrade the 8 too. Only problem is Rx-8 got 2nd fastset time in a C&D test of pre-$35,000 cars around a track in Virginia. The 1st place car was the 350Z Track edition, and th eRx-8 was base, 3rd place was a ford Mustang GT. The companies supplying hte cars were told to have the most ammount of performance options not accessories it would've been closer. As base for base, I think they're both great cars. you just trade (straight line)performance for personality with one.
