Gonna try to get this one on the way home. Got a spot or two NOT under construction.

[edit] And I failed. As I was aiming the camera... berries n cherries. No ticket but I had to hop back in my car and move. Mind you, I was in the breakdown lane with my hazards on. The cop asked if I was having trouble and silly-like.. I said no. LOL

 

Haha, if you can't get it done, I'll try myself. Hell, even with every overpass in town being under construction.

I was wondering when someone would have to deal with the cops trying to get a picture of their 8.

 

What was worse was that while my car was in the shop, just about every damn request would have been cake for me to get.

I'll try to get this on my way home tonight. That won't be for at least 12 hours from now though..

Long shifts ftl. At least it gives me three day weekends.

 

So, I may or may not have pulled off to the side of the road, just to get a police officer behind me in an instant, to check on me. So, being sort of in a hurry to get a picture, it turned out like utter crap. Plus for some reason, the lights on the overpass were out... Nice. Then again, we had just had a rather strong thunderstorm roll through.

I'm not gonna take credit for getting it right unless the person who posted this request says it's fine to, because it's such a shitty picture.. But rather, I'm posting this, so that you guys know I stick to my word.

At least it lit my reflective license plate up....

Like I said, I won't take credit for getting it right, but I definitely tried.

I even got attention from the po-po, just as Lancifer did.

i should have this in a few hours, i passed 5 yesterday and each time i did the Homer "D'OH" as i didn't have my nikon with me...

 

The only problem is, I work till somewhere between midnight and 2 am. 10-12 hour shifts, and right now, I'd be playing russian rulette trying to get that picture, stopped on the side of the road. I'm not gonna trust people to get out of my car during heavy traffic! Haha.

And yeah, at least I tried. It'll be funny if whoever does this next gets a visit from a cop too. Hopefully no tickets will be given out trying to get this one.

 

If it ended up with a visit from the police I'd be like, "officer, come on. It's for teh club"

Sir, why could you not post this 24h earlier? My car was quite the dirty girl, and I totally washed her down last night. Would have been extremely easy! Glad none of you got tickets for the bridge pic though.

 

Po Po was out in full force. Some stupid kids were messing with the equipment the repair workers were using. So they have detail out there at the bridges near me.

 

i got stoped this morning as im the only one in town with a Rx8, asking why i was taking pictures of bridge etc....

booted up the Droid2 and showed the cop the url and this and well end of story (thank god it has mobile internet lol) just glad it was a normal local cuz if it was a statey, i dont think i would be here right now...

 

Sad state of affairs when you can get hassled for taking pictures of a bridge in what is supposed to be a free country. Lame.

 

Not to get the thread off-track, but just keep in mind the flip side.

If someone was planning an attack on a local bridge, and was known to be out taking pictures of it ahead of time, would you be one of the ones crying out that someone should have questioned them about it?

I'd assume since Grimm0ne said it was a town, those terrorists would be living an even more depressing life than normal. If you have to resort to taking out a bridge in a small town, you fail as a terrorist :P

yeah its a small town, but i think i was out of the range of the "local" areas, maybe he seen me on the highway doing it but by the time he turned around, i was already gone, but he was cool about it. He asked about the car and what was under the hood etc, pooped the hood, showed the engine, told him what i knew. After that i showed him the website and he told me to stay safe and have a good 4th holiday and drove off.
Its nice living in a small town, but still scared the crap out of me when pulled up and did the "woop woop" i think i jumped 10ft lol.
