I found this at the Isleton Crawdad Festival over here in NorCal. The only car they had and it was 1 RX8 SWEET !!!
I also got a lighted stand that makes it change colors.

I think they shoot it with a laser before or after it cools. Not sure

 

They laser the glass block with the scanned picture..

You can bring anything and get them scan it... I have seen people laser cut a glass hand, jewellery, etc.

You can bring your 1:18 there and do it there I suppose

It was in a booth at a festival that happens every year on Fathers Day weekend. I'm sure they can be found online somewhere .
