So what's going on in that burnout, somebody break it down "the anatomy" of the procedure. The 3rd break light was on, so what's up with that, parking brake or what.....????

normally you heel toe brake and gas and drop the clutch at the rev limiter.......not just that in this car. you have to turn off the DSC. you have to get em spinning then let off the gas a little to keep em spinning. its actually quite a bitch to do!

Wow, some of you guys might be better off driving station wagons from the looks of it.

I never thought I would see someone flamin for doing burnouts on a sport car enthusiast board!

Keep driving them hard Vosko other wise how will some of these guys know where their cars breaking points are.
I guess you suggest that we all do the speed limit too huh?
LOL

Bleach is used to make smokey burn outs... Especially like that...

Congrats, you live a sedentary lifestyle. His car certainly isn't going backwards, LOL. Also, look at the guy with the TVR, he know's what's up too, having a little fun never killed anyone.

that was just a little bit of water which i don't even think was necessary. why would there be bleach at the shop ? so we can wash our socks ?

i can do dry burnouts no problem. its alot easier when you have some torque. yeah this is me and my car

... drag racing excites me about as much as pulling out of my driveway onto a 55mph highway

I bought a sports car to go through the twisties and autox. If I wanted to drag race and do big burnouts I would have spent the extra $3k and bought a Cobra and been able to do some impressive burnouts.

heh. Would this work on automatic? like if you hold the brake a bit and then push the gas all he way, and like release a brake then step on it again, and so on....

Vosko,

nice work, I'm willing to say I'm in the 95% who can't becuase I never tried. But I don't mind watching others do it. I remembered the first Japan comerical had a burnout in the RX8 doing pirouettes. For those who don't remember, the link is below. Maybe when my tires are getting low I'll give it a try. It's not that I'm a tire hugger it that I don't want to buy another set of 18's. Watching the video is free.

a cobra is $40k if i'm not mistaken ????

my FD was built to do EVERYTHING well burnout, drag race, drift, road race.........honestly it can do everything. an rx8 can be the same way. drag racing is the most punishing you can do to a car. if it doesn't break drag racing chances are it won't break doing the other things
