Hey guys. just purchased my first RX8. its a 2008 with 24,000 miles. runs like a dream! ive only had it for three days so i havent done much of anything as of yet. i do love the whole aggressive fitment scene so that is my goal for this car. here are a couple pics to just show it off..

What was the retail on the car?

 

Looks like it has seats from a 2005/6 Shinka (hard to tell which)... Unless I'm mistaken and white leather was offered in 2008, which I hadn't heard of.

 

They have a beige interior for 07+ models as well.

The seats from the 04-05 models are different from the 06+.

They removed the grooved strakes on the side of the seats and the plastic back, it's all smooth leather.

thanks for the hospitality guys! always had a thing for 8s so when i finally had the opportunity to get this one at a steal, i ran with it!

as for the seats and all, i havent the slightest clue as of yet, but ill do my research. it is a 2008 so as LifeAfterRx8 said, they do give a beige interior after 2007.. \( ._.)/ who knows lol it may be shinka seats lol idk.

 

Very Nice! I am very partial to blue but white is my second favorite. Welcome to the fun and addicting world of the Rotary engine! I am fairly new as well (about 2 months), be careful it grabs a hold of you and doesn't let go haha, not that I'm complaining, I love it! Good Luck and be Safe!

My 2005 Shinka seats don't have the plastic back.
It's not a Shinka... Mazda only made WWP Shinkas in 2006. The only thing we're wondering is if the seats are from a Shinka or were offered in 2008.

$11,000.... for an '08 with 25k miles?? HOW??
I paid $14,750 for an '07 with 41k miles...

Also, those are most defiantly not Shinka seats... Shinka are a bit darker.
I've seen tons of 07+ 8's with that interior. The panels are even matched with the seats, it's not some swap.

 

alright haha i was starting to get a little excited. also in the pics it doesnt have fogs on the car but it is wired for them and has the fog switch on the steering column still. the lady said she had hit a cat or something and the passenger side one was completely wrecked lol so hse had them taken out. hah ive checked and it still has the oem plug-ins under the bumper. haha sometimes i dont understand a person's mentality for "fixing their vehicle". hahaha

like i said, luckily i met her and she had been trying to get rid of it forever so with a clean title, i ran with it!! once again, i got lucky!

 

Nice ride. That is not a Shinka interior but the "sand" interior. We had a local with an 07's with the same exact color/interior setup.

 

haha thanks man! and thanks for clearing up the confusion. whatever it is, its beautiful and i love it! i think the interior is what made me fall in love with it, along with finally finding a six speed that hadnt been molested!

 

It's a great combo. very similar to the White Shinka's. But you can confirm it by posting better pics of the interior. But I am 99% sure it is not a Shinka judging by the center console.

 

what kind of pics would help? hah sorry, i never really thought id own an rx8 so i have never "nerd searched" like i have on other cars, meaning i dont know the "exclusive in and outs" yet lol

 

All cars have the harness for the fogs pre-installed. You have the switch, which is not. I have a set of Multi-colored fogs for sale if you're interested.
