RX-8 in Shinjuku city Tokyo

This is the west side in Shinjuku.
Shinjuku city is the central of Tokyo and today is a Japanese national holiday.
I have not seen other RX-8 on load of Tokyo yet.

A rotary engine is very quiet!, and its sound of the wind of an air-conditioner is sometimes noisy.:D

and...I will return to my job tomorrow.
thanks all

East Moon-san

Very nice, I'm jealous.

Are you a tsukebe oji-san trying to pick up young women with your new RX-8?

I think its better to ask East Moon-san himself, his dog might not be able to answer this question for you.

Beautiful car, EAST MOON. Congratulations! I'm kinda wishing I had ordered the yellow instead of the blue.

I wonder if I can get away with painting my front license plate black.

Anyway, enjoy your new toy! (I'm sure you are enjoying already)

can you get a picture of looking (1) out the back window and (2) out the back corner (through the C pillar) so we can see what the driver sees when backing up and changing lanes? Many thanks.

looking at these pics i just realized, in japan most all cars come with folding side mirrors (push button and mirror folds)...do you think or do you know if u.s. would get that too? probably not right?

East Moon, how is the stereo? Do you have the upgraded 6-speaker Bose version? If so, how does the auto-volume work out?

and do you know if your CD player will play .cda (CD-Audio) files?

just curious.

Wow -- the yellow looks beautiful in those street shots!

I had thought that the yellow was going to be lighter than that, but it looks perfect in these photos!

Almost makes me wish I had been daring enough to go for a flashy color, but I'm sure black will be sexy too...

Yep it sure does...

I have been toying with the idea of running the car without the front plate: I think it really does detract from he looks of the vehicle. It does look a (very little) bit better with some lettering on the plate, however: here is what ZoomZoom's car would look like with his Ontario front plate... :p

And to East Moon: CONGRATULATIONS! Your car looks FANTASTIC!!! (Great colour...)

Hi frogzapper, You are right.

As for These pictures, I emphasized slight contrast by PhotoShop.

The yellow of RX-8 differs from the yellow color of Mazda6 which I know.
I think that the yellow of RX8 is brighter than Mazda 6, and It's color near a Lemon-yellow.
The yellow of Mazda 6 is near Beige-yellow.
for example, Can you see the yellow belt on the road in the right of my picture?
It is near Mazda 6.(this is just my feel.......It is very difficult to tell about a color.)
and Mazda 6's yellow is only one kind?
The actual color differed from the Mazda6 yellow which I looked at with the picture.

thanks all

Ummm...There is no problem....good sounds...There are few "load-noises" than Miata...
sorry...I cannot report about the sound.
and@I have no skill for that.

But My favorite "Steely Dan" is sounds good always.

Although the audio-control attached to the handle is convenient to be sure, I don't need it.

>and do you know if your CD player will play .cda (CD-Audio) files?

I don't know.

thanks

I suppose the cd audio files would depend on if you burn CDs to play on standard CD Players. I take mp3s or store-bought music CDs I have and burn them to CD.

The cd burning software asks if I want to create a "data" cd or an "audio" cd. if I say "audio", it converts those MP3s and/or music CDs to .cda format. then I can play them in my car, or in my stereo at home. And if I tell it "data" then it puts them in MP3 format - which I could play in an MP3 player.

just curious. If it *will* play .cda format CDs then I can hold off on the RX-8 mp3 player. Mazda doesn't seem to know if it will play cd audio format or not. thanks.

i'm pretty sure it will. if i understand you correctly, .cda is the format of the files when a cd burner burns a **musical** cd, not an mp3 cd. and that musical cd is supposed to work w/ all cd players

i do make quite many of my own cds on my computer from mp3s, and i'm assuming they'd be recorded into .cda files, and i've always been able to play them in my car...so i'm sure it'll play in the 8's stereo. the only advantage of mp3 players over this is that you can put a ridiculous number of songs in mp3 on one cd

in japanese cars mini disc player seems to be an option, and fits into that somewhat empty black area on the stereo. i'd be interested in the mini disc more, 'cuz it's cool :D
