Gotta love the Aussies. 'Cause GOD knows if the sh*t ever really hit the fan we would only really have two countries that we, as Americans, could hands down w/o a doubt know that they would be there for us, the Brits and the Aussies.
Excellent find Zoom44!!!
Hopefully even if I don't get a chance to sit in one, I can get a bunch of pics and post them out on my web site. I might as well put it to some good use, considering I am not using it for anything else.

The server that the pictures are on seems to be down... http://www.lancon.com.au... gets no response... sucks, cu i too REALLY want to see them!
Lights
The pictures worked fine for me a few moments ago.
I think the lights on the back are the same as on the new Jaguar S-Type here in the UK.
Instead of a smooth parabolic reflector, the reflector is shaped out of small slighytly convex square surfaces, (imagine building an igloo with large flat blocks then slightly padding the inner side of each block and covering it with foil) each angled to reflect the single bulb.
This gives the effect of concentric rings of small lights.
I've always thought the lights on the Jag looked great, and I'm very happy to see these on the RX-8.:D

Did someone notice the kind of orange reflection in the red colour in one of the pictures?
Is it from the camera or is it true that there is a kind of orange/golden mixture in the paint?
Anyone with an answer?

Good'ay FROMCAST
Saw the 8 at the Melbourne Motor Show and took about 30 photos. Most showed the car with an orange like tint. To the naked eye the colour is deffinitely red. On close inspection of the paint the mica fleck is a deffinite gold and about 2mm long. Inside the exibition centre there were hundreds of lights in different colours some were moving as well as was the car so the colour changed a bit. I'll try to attach a photo or two but I'm a real novice at this

Those are "great" pictures!! That red really looks sharp! If I may ask a question about the interior. What colour are the rugs in the RX-8? Are they all a dark grey or black? Just curious!!
Thanks again for the pictures! I am waiting for Titanium so if you catch a glimpse of one, please follow and snap some more photos!
