Are you sure that's an RX-8, Konig? It looks more like a scrapped artist's rendition for a new Batmobile. hehehe

oh and razpewton, If you don't want to wait till GT4 comes out, I'd say go with NFSU:2.

Disagree... If you are buying the game specifically for the RX8, then NFSU2 is the worst game you could get. You dont get the chance to drive the RX8 in career mode until the game is nearly half over.

 

I unlocked the RX-8 pretty early in the game and it wasn't very difficult to do so... maybe it gets unlocked at different points in the game for different people? Doesn't SRS have the RX-8 too?

 

You dont get the RX8 in career mode until you win the first URL race in stage 4 (there are only 5 stages to the game)... there is no way to get it any earlier than this.

 

Sorry couldn't help it, but this is what struck me when I first saw this :D

The percentage only pertains to how many shops and parts you have unlocked, you can finish the game with a low 50% completion rating. The game is scripted... the RX8 is a stage 4 vehicle that is gained after winning the first URL race... there is no other way to gain access to the 8 in the career mode. If you somehow "got it" before that, then you better fire up your eBay account as you have the only copy in existance that can over-ride the games scripting... big $ there.

Ok i guess we were kind of talking about different percentages here but in the end it doesn't really matter, we were just recommending games for razpewton. Sorry I misunderstood the games percentage thing. I think its because after I unlocked the RX-8 I downloaded a save file that had everything unlocked, which explains why I don't know about the percentage. The game was just to "dull" to play through the whole thing.

hmm i kinda just shot my own recommendation down ... oh well...

 

when gran turismo 4 comes out FINALLY (relese date pushed back yet again....) it will blow all these games out of the water. you get the 8 when you beat approximately 60 percent of the url races.

 

my favorite part is the cam shaft upgrade for the 8. the mechanic must be very creative.
