Maybe he meant to link the interactive Flash City. There is an embedded video of the RX8 at Laguna Seca. Find the raceway and clip on the guy on the bridge. I think this is a REPOST by the way...

That is tough! I love the little left-right drift over the hill with the slight "S" turn!

It's been posted but would be hard to find without knowing what to look for. I'm sure tons of folks didn't get to see it the first time.

May be an old link but I haven't seen it. Thanks!

I have to wonder how long the tires would last drifting around almost every corner the way he does on the road course. A lot of fun for a few laps but I don't think you would drive that way in a race - at least not for long.

Yeah, where do I sign up? I was going to be good and drive my truck today to keep miles off my 8, but after I saw those videos of him sliding around LS Raceway I'm driving it 'til the wheels fall off.

Does anyone know how to save those clips onto their PC? I'd love to keep copies to show people.

The problem with saving the movies is that they are embedded into a flash file and you can't save it. What you can do to get around it is to find an application that will capture a portion of your screen and record it as a movie. You would just start and stop the recording. Try one of these and let us know what you find out.

For PC, Easy Screen Recorder 1.2: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/35630
For Mac, Screentool 2.0.3: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19181

Just tried the Mac version an it didn't work worth a crap.

Is the way that guy drove an optimal way to drive on the track? I was under the impression that drifting results in lower laptimes because it relies introduces excessive slipping. I'm confused because even though I thought that way about drifting, I see pro karters doing that too.

Am I confusing drifting with trail-braking in the video?

It is not the fastest way to get around, Mazda must be wanting to attract the drifting *****.
