Hi guys,

Some help needed here. This is how my car is gonna look when the bodykit arrives. Im looking to do a custom paint job and hope all the photoshop experts would assist, any constructive comments will be greatly welcome.



Its kinda like omicron's car or this car below except i have the MS wing.



Im currently looking at 2 kinds of design for the paint job. Here they are.

and the neela ( 2 fast 2 furious 3 tone paint job)





Im looking at rear ( black) mid ( shinka purple) and front ( a lighter shade of purple). Tho if any of u guys have better suggestion on color combination, pls let me know as well.

I would like to know how would this 2 kinds of custom paint job look on the rx 8. If anyone could do a photoshop, it would be much appreciated. Any suggestions welcome.

Not a big fan of the Chameleon Paint myself, but to each his own. It is pricey and chips are really noticeable with the color changes the paint does from the transition from yellow to purple. chips obviously wont change at all so the eye catches it pretty easily.

I am just going for a basic change in paint job. Going to paint my body kit Black and a CF hood, mirrors and gas cover on a WB 8.

if your gonna do purple id advise you to get an aggressive bodykit, it takes a lot to pull off purple. If i were to paint my car id probably go with a flat black all around; or a colorshift of black/gray/silver with sparkles in the paint.

not a fan of purple or chameleon paint. just get a pair of polarized lensed sunglasses and stare thru some window tint, same effect.

do the black on the back and fade to a Cadilac pearl white in front, don't have photoshop so sorry I can't help but I think that would be the best.

i like that.. i may consider something similar with a burnt orange and black... can you try photoshopping/chopping it to see what it would look like... would appreciate it!

tks for all the kind replies. But could anyone do a ps of the black to purple 3 tones, the black/gray/silver and the chameleon paint. So that i could have an idea on how it looks like.

search chameleon paint in this section.. there is someone else on this board (cant remember name) that also has that paint job on their 8.

Do the black in the rear and bmw apline white in the front. I love that color!

i say dont go for the chameleon paint job, that is so old school now. The neela paint scheme in green looks pretty nice. Try the 2 tone paint job like the fortune Rx7 in tokyo drift. But be prepared to pay a shitload of money for any style paintjob.

God please don't do the "neela" thing unless you're looking to make your 8 look like an 80's minitruck.

Me personally, I'd pick a really clean solid color and go with that, some of the most amazing paint jobs I've seen are only one color, they're just done/maintained at a high level.

Here's an example, this look says way more than any graphic scheme could ever wish for:



just pick one that suits the 8 well, and you'd be set.

Dude, dont spoil your car with chameleon paint, or even color fading... Stick with a solid color. The burnt orange is a good idea if u want something different.

Please don`t do neela... veil_side already beat you to it, and 2 neelas running about 250 sq miles cancel each other out pretty quick, exclusivity-wise...

I always liked deep translucent cherry-apple or blood red..

Stormy blue is the next best thing
