Rotary Influenced Clock
While visiting my brother's family in Ithaca, NY a couple weeks ago, I saw an artist/woodworker's display in a market and got an idea. So, I decided to do a little cutting and sanding yesterday and wound up making this rotor shaped clock. The face is walnut and the markers are maple. I finished the whole thing with a coat of linseed oil. The number "8" didn't turn out as nice as I wanted and some of the markers darkened a little too much with the linseed oil. Oh well, I can justify the imperfections by claiming they give the clock its "character". Anyway, overall size is about 7" between tips and around 3/4" thick.
