check your link, I can't get it to work, it tells me the video is unavailable. I hate it when that happens, get all excited about watching a track vid, and google goofs it up.

A little reminder of what can happen as we all do High Performance Driving Education and put the thoughts of insurance in the back of our minds. Also, why I have been thinking lately of getting a dedicated track car which I can better afford to lose.
I actually had another Forum member (your secret's safe) hit their brakes upon seeing the Checker flag at the top of the bridge straight right in front of me as I was still accelerating and shifting from 3rd to 4th... That was actually more scary than the spin since it was at a much higher speed. Thank god for the 8's GREAT brakes and the peformance of the Carbotech XP8's. They always seem to have 'just a little more in them'.

it is a good reminder of what we are doing out there when we head to the track.
For me, I try to stay out of trains going into corners, and give people plenty of room. And if there is some asshat goofing off behind me, I let him go, and let him get as far from me as I can. I am not out to set any records, just have fun, and follow rule #1...which is drive it home. And yes, the 8 has awesome brakes, especially with upgraded pads. More than one other car owner has made comment of how good the brakes are, and how late we can brake as opposed to other drivers.
