Hey, all you photoshop experts... has anyone ever concidered creating a wireframe of the RX-8 in and rendering us some new pictures in Povray or whatever ray tracer takes your fancy?

very cool stuff... unfortunatley, i've only begun learning AutoCad, let alone a 3D wireframe programme of that sorts. Although I would love to learn.

 

Povray is a basic raytrace engine with a command line interface. Pretty evil for people to learn unless you're used to programming.

From Photoshop to 3D rendering is like telling a painter to do sculpture.

I know... that's kinda what makes it a challenge...

The Windoze version of povray did have a GUI the last time I looked... but perhaps that was a bit unfair.... Perhaps AC3D would be more appropriate...

The person that made those renderings has talent and many, many hours of experience. POV Ray is cool, but Rhino 3D rules all.

 

Pic is from Gran Turismo 3. It's a proffesional job as it's arguably the crown PS2 game.
