Red HKS Filter Element & Thermal AC Line

Just recently replaced my dirty filter element with a limited edition RED filter. I think it looks good cause it matches the rest of the car now opposed to the yellow element the kit comes with. Also wrapped my AC line with thermal wrapping. My AC seems to run a little cooler inside now. I highly reccomend doing this mod.

thanks for the comments. The install of the AC wrapping took 10 minutes to do. I just made a template first before cutting. If you do this I reccomend waiting atleast a few hours before your car cools down (if your engine is hot) because the heat will make you sweat. HAHAH

It's the HKS Racing Suction. It's been out for a while now. You can order it from their authorized dealers. Here's a link to their website. Just punch in your city and state and it will find you a local vendor.

Here's a link to my thread a while back when i installed it

And this is how it sounds like with the Legamax exhaust:

It's actually the same wrapping used on turbo's and exhaust manifolds. My buddy had some left over so he just gave it to me. Your local speed shop "should" have some.

Hi,

I just got a used HKS intake.. I mean RS. While the filter element is OK... I know it needs a good cleaning. However based on this post, I might just get a new one... Is it the 150 or 200 mm filter? Looking a blue but can't find it in the sites here in Northern California...

Any advice?

Thanks
Carlos

Carlos,

I made it real easy for ya! I went ahead and took some pix of the bag it came in and also the part number of the product. If you want the blue one you might have to call HKS directly and get the part number for that. Again, this can be ordered directly from any authorized HKS dealer. Hope this helps.
