Its not. It will violate Amemiya's agreement with Greddy, who actually built the system.

Well--I suppose its a moot point anyway--because the Greddy Turbo can be fitted to the A/T. I think to really get 0-60 times below that of the 6spd RX8 the tranny could benefit from a higher stall--as it is now the boosted A/T that is running around (Greddy) is pulling 0-60 times equal to that of a 6spd (if not a little slower).

Dre, I thought you were the one with the Auto that switched to the 6spd. Or was that someone else?

LOL--I wish it was me. I do plan on switching to a 6spd--but not any time soon.

Now I'm confused. I recalled it was you, but obviously can't remember who it really was.

Sillygirl is trying to trade now to a red GT, Jerky Owner did the trade, PimpndaRX8 (sp?) traded, and I think there were 1 or 2 more that did the trade. Me--I have a few other life priorities right now to be trying to put money in on trying to trade just yet.

Jerky...that's who I was thinking of. He's the one that had a thread not too long ago about it, which was why I remembered it.

Maybe the numbers where switched around??? At those psi numbers it would make more sense to have 325HP or whp and 256 Torque.

Philodox...at about 7psi, got 65 extra whp, so at 14 it could be possible to get 120-140...right?

I'm not an expert either, but those high psi numbers should bring out a BEAST in the 8. Personally, I'd stick to 7-9 psi with good managment...what good is a car that wont last 24K miles...just my .02...

Thanks for posting...

Just look at the pictures! Sheesh!

This is the Amemiya turbo car. Does the intake and up-pipe look familiar?

The kit is for sale up on Bullet Proof's site...
http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...il.php?ID=3510

They are charging quite a bit for a GReddy kit.

Yeah that looks like the Greddy kit to me and at a premium price I might add.

I agree. Eventhough there are alot of RE's improvements to this kit, its still overpriced in my opinion.

BTW, this thread really should be in the Major Horsepower Updgrades sub-forum

Sorry to say this. using emanage is still a failure. cause you will experience lag on your RPM meter.

in japan theres more auto than manual 8s, so its a larger market for RE. Also, globally it helps with reaching that market base.

Interesting stuff.

I have a question about the Automatic transmission RX8's. Is there some type of launch control program? I know in the RDX if you hold the "+" paddle in the pulled position and raise the revs it brings the boost up to a set point for a perfect launch with minimal slip. it really impressed me, as it was similar to brake-reving in results. Does the 8 have something like that?

I didn't think it was (seeing as how he is from Malaysia). Not mine, either.
However, I'd like to completely understand what he is claiming before I jump all over him for being wrong.
