TheWulf 12-17-2010 08:59 AM

Very well done! Keep it up!

ps: please paint your grille.

terch1 12-17-2010 09:03 AM

The video really doesn't tell us all that much about the car. Looks like a typical MS kit with a big ass wing. What performance mods have been done to the car?

rodjonathan 12-17-2010 09:40 AM

lookin really good bro

fuztupnz 12-17-2010 09:54 AM

Needs more of the girl :yumyum:

Seriously though, it looks good. Great production quality.

lepichichi 12-17-2010 11:03 AM

^^ +1,

are the grills on the bumper chrome??

Aipex8 12-17-2010 11:10 AM

Looks good. Nice editing. I'd like to know a little more about the project. Is it going to be a short film? Can you give us a hint as to what the plot is going to be?

rotoryfan1991 12-17-2010 11:15 AM

Niice

9krpmrx8 12-17-2010 11:35 AM

Nice work buddy, keep it up.

aespo22 12-17-2010 12:55 PM

Glad many of you like it but keep in mind, for the purposes of this thread, the mods done to the car are irrelevant...but I will say since this section has been filmed the front bumper mesh has been painted matte black* I don't want to give too many details away about plot but the film would be about 3-5 minutes long and have a background story, minimal dialog and plenty of shots of the 8 in motion from just about every conceivable angle. It is a huge process though seeing as I only have 1 model/(camera car operator) helping me at the moment and I'd be doing it on the side, but its something I'd be more than willing to do if the reaction from the community is positive enough.

9krpmrx8 12-17-2010 01:47 PM

I am all for it. People will talk shit either way but I can almost guarantee most will like it.

paimon.soror 12-17-2010 01:56 PM

Is this even a question???

DO IT ... DO IT NOW

wcs 12-17-2010 02:00 PM

Win

rafaga 12-17-2010 02:03 PM

With those video editing skills and those 2 hot models, I say you can go ahead and make whatever you want from a 30 second commercial to a full length movie and you have my support.

aespo22 12-17-2010 02:17 PM

Thanks I really appreciate that, but I hope you were referring to the car and the girl when you said 2 models, other wise its just the one girl (my girlfriend) in both screenshots...I'm not that lucky!

Ross_Dawg 12-17-2010 02:58 PM

Looks great! I say go for it :icon_tup:

Gr8Bullet 12-17-2010 03:16 PM

look awesome!!! do it!!!

RonM 12-17-2010 03:43 PM

Without a doubt, go for it.

Roidz 12-17-2010 04:55 PM

Nice man.

Rotary_Power 12-17-2010 07:43 PM

Definitely go for it!!! You've got some skills man.

terch1 12-17-2010 08:10 PM

I thought the car was the project not the film. Now i get it.

aespo22 12-18-2010 02:08 PM

Glad you guys seem to approve. If all goes as planned and I get a couple more hands to help me out with the camera car work I should have something ready near the end of December!

lateralus 12-18-2010 02:18 PM

Positive feedback from me! Looks tight

NYC Drift King 12-18-2010 03:57 PM

Alucard 12-18-2010 04:01 PM

cool video!

if your still in jersey and you need more 8's or 7's lmk

aespo22 12-18-2010 05:21 PM

Thanks guys, I have some pretty "interesting" filming ideas planned for this upcoming shoot, so I'm getting pretty excited about the final product. And no I'm no longer in NJ, I work out of Boston now, but I'm going to be back in the NJ/NY city area for a month or so starting December 22th, at which point I hope to get some filming done while I'm there. But thanks, I'll let you know if more 8's are needed.

bhop 12-18-2010 05:33 PM

Can't wait till the final product!

Atilla 12-18-2010 05:41 PM

very cool teaser. Definitely got my attention.

Would be pretty cool if you some how involved some of the other local members. just imo of course

aespo22 12-19-2010 07:22 PM

Just to get a sense of member enthusiasm, would anyone from the NJ/NY area like to assist in the making of this film. Considering the amount of work it takes to properly set up professional shots, more help is always welcome.

shazy 12-19-2010 07:26 PM

wow as I've said before,
great work holycrap lol

What camera do you use?

aespo22 12-20-2010 11:33 AM

Canon 5d Mark II for this ad, very difficult to use in high speed situations, but in low light conditions it has no equal.

Bighurk 12-21-2010 11:17 PM

OMG, Can not wait until the final version is completed!

Nnu77howz3 12-21-2010 11:44 PM

I really cant wait till this is done i want to see it now!

just outta curiousity - would you happen to be able to suggest a camera for someone who's just starting to get into this sorta thing?

Just wondering because your vid is truly inspiring.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. Whats your budget look like? I have a pretty good idea of the best cameras from each price range.

honestly i'm lookin' for something a $400-$600 (ideally) however i'm willin' to burn 7bills at the most. I was lookin' for something that can do still lift photography too but iono - i'm still on the fence. Thanks for the help!

Blacknightz 12-24-2010 03:35 AM

Great Job Anthony !!!

By all means, go ahead with the project! We will support u all the way!

Also, may i have ur premission to post the video links to my youtube channel and my other rx-8 affiliated websites?

aespo22 12-26-2010 01:04 PM

Thank you. Feel free to post where ever you want, I have no problem with it. It only becomes an issue when people download the video, cut it up, and re post as if it were their own....

-Atilla, I'd wait a bit longer for the price to drop on a EOS Rebel T1i EF-S before investing in anything else. Canon DSLRs are really changing the game, they'll be your safest bet.

Blacknightz 12-27-2010 07:19 AM

Cool! thanks Anthony!!!

So when can we all expect for your next highly anticipated release?
*hopefully it will be longer this time :)

Atilla, IMO, I'd save up for the 60D if you want to have fun with stills AND video, I've had mine for a couple months now and I love it, addicting camera. The tilting screen seems gimmicky, but it is something I use a lot especially when playing with video. As far as still photos go, it's borderline pro-level... a lot of pros have picked one up for their spare camera body. Of course, I'd love to have a 5D mark II, but I'm still just a hobby shooter for now and can't afford it :)

RX8inSTL 12-27-2010 08:17 PM

Loos like an awesome video

WTBRotary! 12-27-2010 08:38 PM

Do it...

I agree with you, but after buying the appropriate lenses, tripod, warranty etc...the 60d would go way beyond his budget. All great cameras though, you can't go wrong.

* To all those waiting patiently, my filming schedule has taken a hit due to the blizzard. I should be back on track shortly.

Polak Graphics 12-29-2010 12:38 PM

The vids came out really nice.

I need to make use of my Cannon T1i.

SayNoToPistons 12-29-2010 03:30 PM
