Perhaps you did not read my post that stated thank you for the comments even though they were negative...
I did not call anyone a "dick". I am sorry but I did not and do not expect people to think my car is "super clean" or "bad ***" or any stupid things like that I was just showing what I like and what I have done.
I suppose I could have gotten a MS kit and some lowering springs and been like everyone else and everyone would have told me how good my car looks... I like it and if you don't that does not mean I need to be disrespected by your closed mindedness.
I use my car for far different purposes than you do and that's what I bought it for (started out in auto x then I leaned towards drifting) we all have different tastes (bad taste in many of your opinions) but that's ok my car speaks me and go ahead try and make jokes on what that says about me... I am not some new idiot who slapped this crap on and thought it looked cool.. I knew exactly what I was doing and what I wanted

Ha Ha guys I am not talking bad on the kit ( they look good) I thought about getting it but veered away with the damage I knew I would be causing my car with what I have been doing with it... I was just stating how most people such as those who have the kit awe in its presence... I try and stay away from the groupie theme's and do my own thing.. Just sayin

So you bought your car for drifting huh? How is that drift scene in Wyoming anyway? How events have you competed in?

You have no pride in your ride and you just treat it like **** so don't expect me to respect to respect your ride when you obviously don't respect the vehicle we all (well most of us anyway) adore.

That is my whole problem with the "drift scene", 99% of the claimed drifters are actually just posers who just claim they are drifters so they come up with BS lies about why their cars are craptastic.

It's your car, you can do whatever you want and I know tastes vary, to each his own, etc. But that does not mean people will not call it like they see it.

Looks like I pushed someones internet buttons... Bought it for drifting? not really but thought it would be good entry to start out (always wanted an RX 8) and see how much I liked it and how well I could get... There is no drift scene in Wyoming that I am aware of and I never said I was a "Drifter" do I drift... yes... Events none... open tracks and free runs maybe 5 times (RMR and Miller raceway UT), rented parking lots or access to private property (2-3 times a month) tires not cheap and I am not rich... Treat my car like ****? No pride? why cause I have a broken bumper?(spares sitting in the garage F/B) and I've ripped off my side skirts?(they go right back on), I have always kept this car very well maintained, again my use for it differs from yours in respect to how we use them, Again you should read what I write and not write what you think, I never said I was "so original", I said I like to do my own thing and not go with group trends... And you can not deny that the MS kit was a major group trend...

No buttons pushed, , just giving my unwanted opinion as usual. And yes you have no pride in your car because it's busted up and is not maintained well. It's not debatable, the proof is in the pudding.

And you said that you do not follow group trends and do your own thing yet you rock a sticker bombed lip style that was played out 5 years ago and you have the most trendy wheels, side skirts, and lip that were ever produced. You brought it up, just sayin......

And an authentic MS kit is very rare actually, As a matter of fact, I doubt there is one in your whole state, let alone one installed on a clean RX-8. But I will admit it is not an original look and it was a popular kit. But I needed a change after all these years of pimping the OEM bumper and lip. And legitimate, proper fitting aero for RX-8's is next to impossible to come by so I went with what is right and what was available. What looks good just looks good, it's undeniable.

A lot of us have made bad decisions when it comes to our cars, and I wish I am glad I had friends to tell me when something looked horrible.

Own thing as not too many people do it any more so yes my own thing with the sticker-bomb I don't care how long ago it was "played out" and the wheels I bought cause they were dirt cheap and I don't know how trendy they were since I ordered them before NLMotoring even had them in stock so don't know how trendy they were then, but now they are huge and I hate seeing them on everything!! Lip and side skirt bought cause they were cheap and I never saw any one on here with the compo just the front lip before I ordered them so again not out of trendy, and like I said I was at first leaning towards an MS kit yes authentic but then my ideas changed. I will admit I did steal by rear bumper off the JIC Majic RX 8... In my whole state, now you talking trash on where I live? Whats with you? But I will agree with you there is not even a small import scene here, I go to Utah for that... And I agree with change I never posted pics of the car before the photobomb lip the broken bumper and no spoiler I will have to search and try and find some... Maybe then you might of liked it? LOL This view and set up is bound to change one day probably this winter when I have to store the car that I don't care about

I never said I auto X this car, and I swap wheels to my stock ones with used tires when drifting... and no my set up is far from perfect I have been unable to bring my toe out up front... I am waiting on some new sway bars and chassis bars...

Oh I am sorry there I missed phrased that I meant to say I started out in auto X then I leaned towards drifting when I got this car, I have been trying to hide it cause I know the low ***** are coming from all the people who think everyone who has or had a Honda is a dusche... But I previously had an 200 ek Hatch and I that is the car I auto crossed... now lets hear everyone dump on me for that and say that is the reason my RX 8 looks like it does...

I have have owned fast Hondas since the early 90's before the import scene was popular in the U.S. outside of California. My son drives a 92' Prelude SI so technically I still own one. All of my Hondas were clean, even when I was a broke *** kid so much of what has given Honda owners a bad rap is due to owners such as yourself who do not take any pride in their vehicles. It has never been about money really, if you want to have a clean ride you will work to get it that way. But there is a reason I got out of Hondas years ago and unfortunately the Rx-8 is the new Honda Civic in a way. But that will be short lived since the Renesis cannot handle abuse like a Honda can.

Say no to pistons- I did not use self tapping screws... I drilled holes through the pieces and the bumpers then used stainless steel countersunk Allen head bolts. the pieces did not fit (get what ya pay for), you can take these things off my car and roll them into a ball they are so flexible...

9k I was not saying anything about Honda's not being fast or great cars, I was simply trying to state that from your views on my car now that I has some stupid things done to my civic which your assumptions would be wrong. I had it lowered on skunk 2 coil-overs, I rocked Si wheels powdered coated flat black, Si front lip, carbon fiber hood, apex i exhaust, d16y7 motor with built head, d16y7 intake manifold, password JDM power chamber, dc sports ceramic header so on and so forth...

Here are earlier pics of my 8 maybe you like them better... I will find an old pic of my hatch if you'd like I do not abuse my car weather you think so or not and I have no doubt that my Rx 8 will still be driving long from now, how it looks now is what I am feeling at the time and I like it for now... Maybe I should swap out my bumpers take the side skirts off this weekend put my corner light back in and maybe then I could have your approval and you could quit hating so much?

'69 javelin, '72 Montego, '78 Gremlin, '80 Monza, '83 Datsun Maxima wagon, '84 Isuzu Pup, '86 Fleetwood Brougham rwd, '95 Nissan 4x4 p.u., and now '04 LY GT.
Gremlin & Isuzu were the only ones I bought new.
