When I get my one, I want to get a blue one just like yours and put 22" chrome wheels on it and lower it 2 inches all around and put in a huge ice system.

hmmm, I can't tell if you are being serious or if you are being sarcastic in hopes of insulting him.

If you are being serious....BAAAHAHAHAH

If you are being sarcastic....his car looks damn good, put down the crack pipe!
:)

nvs_newbie 10-29-2004 07:16 PM

Whats so funny, thats what I plan on doing to my car when i get it.

BlueEyes 10-29-2004 07:24 PM

It's funny because it would look like ass. 22" rims do not belong on sports cars and especially not on the torqueless wonder that is the 8. If you want to be ghetto fabulous I would suggest a 300C, 22's on that thing would look alright. I don't even think 22's would fit on an 8 with a 2 inch drop without some serious body modification.

I guess it's up to you though.

nvs_newbie 10-29-2004 07:27 PM

Maybe not 22s but the biggest wheels i can fit under the guards and maybe not 2inch but as low as i can because i want my car to look phat.

EZZY 10-29-2004 08:04 PM

there is a tyre shop owned 8 here in sydney, it has 22" at the rear and 20" at the front.... looks abit funny tho...... but yeah, 22" will def. fit at the rear of an 8 with lowered springs (i think 2") :D

300c's with 22's, I think I saw the 8 with the 22's a while back, looked like a frickin' cartoon car

22's on an 8 are waaayyyyyy too big!
They belong on a SUV.

Besides the obvious ride harshness, it's probably going to slow your car down drastically.

19" or maybe even 20" are the sizes which Mazda should have released the car with originally.

canaryrx8 10-30-2004 08:31 AM

I'm thinking this dude's is saying "check me out dawg, I jusr ruinded a really nice car", dang those look awful. Most of the time I don't mind cosmetic or otherwise non-functional mods as sometimes they can accent a ride nicely, but these lose on both sides, they don't look all that great and now the car will be slower, harder to stop, rub on all the hard corners, if it can even take them anymore...geez, what a waste.

RXE16T 10-31-2004 01:03 AM

Anyone know if it's really Mundine's car?
If it is, he must have traded in the Sti he was driving.

takahashi 10-31-2004 01:09 AM

I hope not... and I don't think so.

Talking about celebs driving RX-8: so far there are Michael Kilm, Guy Sabestian, and Dave Hughes (Melb comedian & radio host).

EZZY 10-31-2004 01:22 AM

nah, thats not Mundine's car ;)

canaryrx8 10-31-2004 07:18 AM

ack, it went from bad to worse!

BlueFrenzy 10-31-2004 01:51 PM

Yeeeessshhh!! That Ozzy fellow is nuts. Is that car even driveable? You would think that he would hear the wheels scraping the body and say "Oh that's a BAD thing". Oh and that fire paint job ... WTF?

Nojooc ... I like what you did to your car. Just be glad you don't get snow ... if I ever lowered my blue 8 here, it would be a snowplow!! Nice work.

Intrigue 8 11-02-2004 02:23 PM

Booo!!!!!!!! for that. looks like it came out of a a childrens coloring book

RXE16T 11-03-2004 05:04 AM

I'm glad to say that two weeks after installing the H&R springs, the suspension has settled and it appears to have "levelled" out.

The front and rear sit almost perfectly level now and it appears that the car sits 1.0" lower all around as per what H&R quote.

Will try and post some updated pics when I get the opportunity to.
