Thanks! Didn't remember where I saw it, but thought it was a cool idea.
Not sure about sebarx8, but I did mine. It is not too hard, but a little more work than I originally intended to get box flat enough to get a good seal on the plexiglass.

the intake on the car is a larger diameter all the way through and less bends.... this equals less friction, more laminar flow of air, and less restriction. At least that is how I do the math. Its deffinetely has a unique sound as well which leads me to believe its hordin air.... well as much as an na can hord
the powder coat is done for 2 reasons; 1. helps keep the inside of the intake cooler, 2. it looks great.

Also if you look in this picture I have created a ram air duct to help force some of that cold air into that area... the location can be seen in this picture by the really dark spot in the front grill

Hey James,
This is really the best CAI I have seen, I aggree with your math and theories behind it,,,
We'll talk later about your build, I am extremely interested, mine would start just about where you have the second coupling....
Have you seen Denny's discussion on Filter size???
I'll give ya a call...
There is also some other nice custom work done here if you know what to look for,,,
Great Job,,,
