I really like the fact someone is running an RX-8 in the GT class. The car is beautiful, and hopefully it can prove itself against the myriad of Porsches, and a few Bimmers.
The article says it runs on a JC Cosmo engine. That stinks how these guys didn't want to push a 13B-MSP, but from the rulebook, the 3-rotor is mandated.

I believe that at the moment, the 13B-MSP is in no position to compete in the GT Class in Grand-Am competition. Maybe if Grand-Am allowed non-factory forced induction, 2-rotor engines, or if Mazda released an FI version of the 13B-MSP, it might, just might have a chance. I don't know for sure.
