Easy... Tell your wife she gets the baby, so you get the car lololol

In all seriousness though, my wife knows that literally nothing will cause me to part with my 8. I'd go out back and graze on my lawn for sustenance before giving up my 8.

Boy thank goodness for this thread I’m going to be in a somewhat similar boat soon!

I bought the RX8 because I got married and we had 3 kids between us (2 in car seats). No reason to give up the car just for that. There are anchors and everything for car seats in the back. Just make sure to look for a car seat that kinda has a wedged bottom. It helps it fit in the bucket a lot better.

I like this thread. Seats have gotten bigger since this started, but I'm sure there is something I'd be able to fit with a booster and a front facing seat. I have my put my older one in an 88 Mustang, but that has only a lap belt. Makes me nervous. A newer car would be nice in case something did happen. And the rear opening doors would be nice to get him them in and out.

If anyone has pictures of a convertible car seat rear facing with a passenger, that would be super helpful. When this thread started it wasn't so expected to keep you kid rear facing as long as possible. Now they say to have them rear facing till at least 2yrs. I've got a soon to be 1yr old. Looking at one of the cars, I don't know that it would fit right and still give the passenger room to breathe. The only picture above shows the seat way too high up/vertical from what I can tell.
