When you go to a site and someone shows you a picture, the assumption is that it is in fact the merchandise in question. The original wording didn't suggest that it wasn't your merchandise.... I think it was fair that you took the pic down, no harm no foul.

Price of the Stainless Steel Strakes off Ebay from Howard is (as of a few minutes ago) $136 with shipping. Conversion rates shift every now and then though..
