I did a search and couldnt find anything, does anyone have any pics of their car, or an rx8 with painted fender vents....the same as the car obviously. Preferably winning blue, i just wanna see what it looks like

That is the key word.

I dont like it. Its too much IMO. I like the strakes and when I get them I will be painting my vents satin/flat black. I feel the vents make the front fenders stand out more.
If you want to ditch the vents get these

 

i like the look of the side vents on those but im not big on the ones on top of the fender

i don't really like the look of the blue vender vents, kinda blends in too much

 

I got those fenders for my WB. They won't be done in time for SSX, but I'll be sure to post pics when I put them on.

I did mine in carbon fiber. The look is nice. I think rxstrakes.com has many colors available. Polished aluminum would look nice on the winning blue. Depends on your wheels though.

bump - please give your opinions - what do you think of me painting my fender vents Copper Red? Sometimes I think the 8 is too busy... I want to try and calm it down a bit. I like the way the black vents/black paint kind of hide the vents... any opinions?

I think it's really up to the owner. I don't mind it IMO. I considered it for awhile. But I'm not sure. May just respray mine with black since its a little faded.
