One newb question for you guys, what brand, color, store should I get to match up to Winning Blue the closest? I have an idea for the engine cover, but dont want to experiment with different blues.

Hey, thanks for the info, and CGRX8, I have to say, when I went shopping for my 8, Nordic green was my least favorite color, but you and your car do it justice. On a forum with so many beautiful cars, yours stands out, it's gorgeous. Good job on all the work you put into her, I look forward to seeing what you have in mind next.

if you go all out- use the duplicolor anodized look, you need three cans of paint though- the adhesion promotor, the silver base spray then the color spray, other than the yellow, all of the ones I have seen have either matched the car color or complimented it very nicely

Ok, I dove into this DIY last night, what do you think? I noticed that dodge has a paint on their neons that is very similar to the Mazda Winning Blue color, and was lucky enough to find it at a local O'Reily Auto Parts. It is DUPLI COLOR "Dodge Brilliant Blue" and it seems to have matched up perfectly. I washed all the plastic covers in dawn and dried completely. Next I used blue painters tape (which by the way did stick very well, just have to wash all the oils off the covers first.) Thanks to everyone for this great idea.
