BLACKLIST 03-07-2005 08:22 PM

I agree with Jerky 8. I don't really care for red calipers on the tit grey either. Looks clean but just not my taste. :o But that black with the red writing looks great!!!

Know what I mean?

But if any greys out there have pics, plz post!

I just painted mine today. I used the Duplicolor kit (12.99 at Meijers) and finished it up in ~1.5 hrs. It took about 5-10 minutes per caliper per coat, and by the time I was done with all four, I started again with a second coat and then a third. The red calipers really look awesome. The best part is that I managed to do it all right through my 17" winter rims. No drips...just a steady hand and great results! I'll post pics later today.

You did it without removing the tires? Nice.

Very nice...I like the gold on grey, yellow too, though it would be a bit brighter

ÜberJumper 03-16-2005 11:30 AM

hmmm copper would be pretty cool. I'm trying to decide on this for the spring as well.

Good thread.

I think it's ok on the G35C because of their brakes. This is what it says, "Hey look at me... I have Brembos. Oooh and Ahhh at my brakes. BREMBO.. sucker" when our brakes are as good or even better just without the brand name and the higher price. I wouldn't want to copy them either. I say innovate or stay the same. Of course, I would say different, if I got the G35C instead :p

I still have yet to decide. I just got the rotary center caps which I have yet to install so I am leaning towards gray or black.

Just did mine in Yellow. I was inspired by this thread. Thanks for the great color idea for the Titanium. I would have never had the nuts to go this route on my own:

Titanium/Yellow

ÜberJumper 04-11-2005 09:37 AM

Did yellow myself on the weekend. Here's a shot from my Phone's camera... better shot to come.

Lovin it aren't you? I know I am! Looks much better than I even expected it to.

ÜberJumper 04-11-2005 11:10 AM

Yeah, totally. After I finished getting my summer tires back on (I swapped off the winters, and painted the calipers), I drove it to the corner gas station and checked the tires. My low fuel light came on while it was idling, so I popped in a couple bucks of gas until I could get to my regular station. When I came out from paying, I literally stopped in my tracks because the calipers looked so sharp.
