thanks to all for the posts...i really appricate it;)

i will post pictures when i do mine...i should just get the brembos and install them;) hehe I WISH!!!;) anyways...if others have pics please post i would love to see different tasts;)

Hou-TX-RX-8 02-28-2005 02:10 AM

I think they only have front brembos so you would still have to paint the rear.

girliegirl 02-28-2005 02:20 AM

aww i see...well then they would have to match so red it is:) hehe. no i bought some rx-8 decals to put on my calipers like in that picture of the blue calipers where it says rx-8 in the same writing as the rx-8 symbol. so that would look sharp.:)

shawn81 02-28-2005 07:35 AM

Dude .. you can do black with RX8 in red on it i ahve seen it and man it was nice .... i have T gray and i will do mine black with Gray" RX8 " but it is tooooo cold to do it now..

string theorist 02-28-2005 07:47 AM

GirlyGirl... ditch the 20's.. get some 18" volks or rays... paint the calipers black. :D

Gambit 02-28-2005 08:08 AM

Red or Yellow would look cool...silver if you're going for a little more understated

Also make sure you use G2 paint, i just skimmed this and don't know if anyone mentioned it. It's available at rx8garage.net in pretty much any color you'd want.

Hey Girliegirl

Like I mentioned earlier, I painted my blue 8's caliper a sapphire blue. Wish I took pics on a sunny day but close enough.

Jump120MPH 03-02-2005 08:55 PM

I painted mine Black. I would go with black or silver.

SantozRx8 03-02-2005 09:18 PM

do the bronze/gold color... thats the color of the brembos... has anyone looked how sweet they look on the blue sti..... or blue Z.... DO THAT JUST DO IT!!!

RX-Prime 03-03-2005 12:41 AM

My vote is for blue, I have the G2 kit in blue but it has been too cold to do mine. I plan on getting some new rims within a week or so. Hopefuly it will warm up soon and I'll be able to do it. I got my G@ kit off ebay it was like 35 shiped or close to that. Post Pics when your done show us.

girliegirl 03-03-2005 10:22 AM

i will post pics...you too!!! at least you decided what color....i still havnt made up my mind;)

but im leaning towards the red....can anyone post a full picture of there winning blue 8 with both red and blue calipers...that would be helpful;)

Gambit 03-03-2005 11:56 AM

I found this one...the calipers are painted black on a blue one...doesn't look too good IMO. Blue's a flashier color and if you paint the calipers, they shoudl be bright too

Hm, yeah I've never really understood painting calipers black/silver (silver especially). I just don't think those colors stand out enough to warrant all the extra work of repainting them. Now that bronze/gold...man oh man.

probably gold would look the best, or if anything sliver.
