Exclamation OMG The Sky is Red!!!

Shot these around 2 in the morning on the top of a parking garage in Irvine. I was initially there to swap out my old exhaust for a new one but he sky was lit very cool, and even though I had only 1 lens and no tripod with me, I knew I had to take some photos! Some are a bit blown out while others have a bit of grain but I was using natural lighting so I tried to make the best of things...

Just sharing as I thought some of you may enjoy If you want to see more pictures of my car, clicky linky in teh siggy.

Thanks, it's currently my desktop background
4, 5, and 6 are some of my favorite shots as of late.

All of the cool kids do it - Mad Mike, Tony Angelo, etc...

LOL not really - they don't fit in with my current wheel/tire specs. If you notice carefully, I ground most of the mounting point off. I'll be filling the area in when I finally get my bumper fitted.

Nah, these are different wheels. Those were Work CR-Kais painted takata green, these are Volk CE28 in a factory color. Thanks!

It was a wicked night, the evening was super super cloudy/dark beforehand. I showed these pics to a couple people who asked if I changed the color of the sky to be red and I happily responded, "Nope."

June Gloom maybe?

They actually aren't turn signals, just side lights.

The wheels look great and I don't mind the fit/look at all, but the missing lights bug the living hell out of me. It sounds like you have a plan to take care of that, so I'm definitely looking forward to how that turns out.

Part of the time issue is that I held the bumper for Shine for a very long time. I couldn't fit it as they were yet to make the mold. They've got it in their possession right now though so it will hopefully be sooner than later. Should look something like this + side skirts and different wheels, of course.

Damn, that is a pretty serious droppage you've got goin' on. Mind if I ask what suspension you've got on that thing? Ever run into bottoming issues?

I had a big drop like that on an '02 Jetta that I eventually have to lift back up 15mm, couldn't take it anymore.

Hipermax RS which actually have fairly soft rates, they're more of a comfort coilover. This height is not ideal for performance but rather what I think is the best mix between form and function for a daily driven car - it has the look I like yet remains responsive and fun in the canyons. I've had my car a variety of heights (check out the link in my signature for pics) so have experienced both ends of the spectrum. Honestly, the height I'm at currently doesn't feel all too low (though I know it is) as I have driven much lower in the past. I actually rose the rear by appx 3mm today to get rid of that damn reverse rake also.

I actually have no where to work on my car where I currently live so either have to go to friends houses or get creative. This time I was desperate and needed to get my old system off, it was far too loud with the rest of my setup. Safe area + nice and even lighting = quick swap and some cool photos as a bonus

Woah, that is weird about them being turn indicators up north!
