They are a pinkish color, so I painted mine over with a red anodized spray and they look near perfect red. I also sprayed the valve stems.

I removed the pic because I wanted to find a better one. My lip was not touching but it was around .5" or less for clearance. My driveway prevents me from going any lower.

Rotary-RX8 10-26-2010 09:15 AM

^ yea they lose color over time. They start off red than they'll fade to pink. Which is why I went with project kics like Sifu but in gunmetal ( sorry no pics). They are said to be the bestt lug nuts on the market. Don't know if its true cause haven't put them on yet lol

paimon.soror 10-26-2010 01:09 PM

silly question, but other than to accent aftermarket rims, there are really no benefits to the different lugs right? Just a standard set with a lock would suffice?

some aftermarket rims have less clearance with the stock nuts, also certain brands weigh less

altspace 10-26-2010 01:41 PM

Huge difference in weight with the RAYS Duraluminum lugs.

8 Maniac 10-26-2010 02:33 PM

I know they're really light (as I had a set), but how much of a difference does it actually make? Does it even add up to being a pound lighter?

Rotary-RX8 10-26-2010 05:45 PM

^ what rims are those !!!

Chad D. 10-26-2010 05:51 PM

I was fortunate enough to get in on a group buy with some rx7club guys.
I like them. Rotary-X8 the Autoexe hex nuts are very small with key, forsure would fit your rims.

Thanks for the compliments, next summer I will be riding on some axis shine/volk gr2 and the cheapo falken rims are going on my Santa-fe.

Rotr8 10-26-2010 05:54 PM

and look the same nuts on my summer rims,,,

Sifu and AltSpace, Love those pics!!! And those AutoExe lugs are pretty sweet! I might have to get some once my wheels get powdered!

Oh, and I must admit that I was a bit of a skeptic of the concept of having a "Lug-Nut Pictures Thread" !!! HAHA!

What spray paint did you use? I've been looking for one that will give a good result like that... I've seen the Duplicolor Metalcast is that what you used?

Come on there can't be a significant weight differance between stock and aftermarket lugs.
