NycDriftKing New Stoptech BBk install.
Whats up guys... Yesterday KelRx8, Helghast7, halimsteven and a couple of forum members helped me install my StopTechs. I painted them a custom color(-edit-I really like the Project Mu color so I tried to get as close as possible). I really didnt want any of the traditional colors. I wanted something that would stand out. I purchased StopTech decals from "Polak" they ended up a littel to large, so I have to reorder an other pair. But for the most part I'm really happy with how they turnd out. And the stoping power is amazing.

^In this pic the caliper is on the wrong side. we just through it on for the pic lol.

I was definitely going for a Project Mu type color, because thats what I like, and you dont see it often. Plus StoptTechs aren't far from the quality of Mu's. But im very happy with them. And I'm VERY thankful to have gained awesome freinds off this forum. It was 15 degrees outside and Kel Rx8 offered his garge to help out. If it wasn't for him they wouldn't be on until it got warmer out.

I think the low offset is what helped them fit. I know they dont fit with the stock rims. The rotors are a tad bit bigger than stock, but much thicker.
Overall props on the BBK; may not be necessary but damn seeing some big brakes on a car sure helps the car look mean! Nice! That said...
Why oh why Project Mu color?!? The color is sick but, to be honest, it looks like they're trying to be something they aren't! That said, you seem happy with them so
Lower offsets make more clearance, rather than less.

I was referring more to the fact that they were 17s. The offset comment was more or less part of the dimensions than the issue at hand. I knew the difficulties fitting BBKs on the Stock 18s, but its nice to know its all good.
I plan to slap some BBKs on my 19s but that's a long ways away from now. The 8 just sits collecting dust lol.
