I guess the real question nowdays is piston or rotar and I think this picture says it all.

so far we dunno the reliability of the RENESIS yet.... but time will tell. but rx-8 drives much smoother and steers better than the Z.... dun mind a little less hp and torq

I have never driven an rx8 so I really cant comment. I assume you have driven a 350z for many a miles to make such a statement.

I think the 350Z is a very good performing car. Nissan350Z give an 8 a test and see for yourself. I also think everyone is welcome on this board no matter the car you like or drive

thanks! I see the dallas, tx guys have meets, I posted that I might swing by one day and get a real look at the car.

I bet the pistol will, but engine life depends on how it's being used on daily basis.

There is difference in hp and torque, but the rx8 displacement is only 1/3 that of the Z! :o
Can you imagine a 3.5L rotor engine?!? Maybe not with 2, but 3 or 4 rotors? Like the race car mazda used back in '91 in the Le Mans endurance race (and won)!!!

That would mean hundreds and hundreds of hp and torque... and embarrassment to many cars and supercars...
