Nice idea, but poorly executed. But I guess it all depends on the individual's preference and what they like. At least they tried something different.

This (pictures below) is one of the cleanest rx8 I have seen with the wide body kit.

^^^I cant remember exactly but I do remember them being a US based team was testing for the Rolex series, or mayber World Challenge series, those pics are from testing at Daytona.

I am not fan of OP's pic of a wide body. If you are going to do it, make it look like the race version of the car. Kind of like GT300 kit for the MR2 Spyder IMHO

ummm not a full wide body, this would be called fender flairs... you can buy them for almost any sport truck or utility vehicle. wide body actually involves the body being <<widened>>. our cars already have flairs its easy to add to them. It does look good none the less

OP: great idea poorly executed. could have been done without the cereal box front fenders. and the side skirts are just not quite rite. but props for the work and idea.

 

Ew yuck. I think I remember the build thread, but it looks terrible finished.
